Seedstrapping Success Stories: From $200k Raises to 8-Figure Exits (vol.2)
👋 Hi, it’s Zdenko and welcome to Seedstrapped, my newsletter about funding and building profitably growing SaaS businesses in the age of AI.
If you’re new here, start with some of the most-read issues:
Seedstrapping: The Smarter Way to Fund Your Startup in 2025?
You just raised $500k: what to do with it if you never want to raise again?
After publishing Seedstrapping Success Stories: From $500k Raises to 8-Figure Exits, a lot of founders (and investors) reached out asking for more examples - saying these stories help them see what’s possible when you stay focused on customers, not capital.
I also got quite a few suggestions to include well-known bootstrapped successes like Mailchimp, GitHub or Basecamp. And while those are incredible stories worth studying, what I want to highlight here is something a bit different - the raise small once, then turn profitable path.
And that it’s a game worth playing, for both founders and investors.
Many founders already resonate with this approach, but most investors still hesitate to back seedstrapped businesses.
Hopefully, these stories will help change that.
So here’s batch no. 2, more founders who raised little and still built (and sold) meaningful businesses often for life-changing amounts.
